Sail out onto the water in autumn and enjoy Potsdam from what is probably the most beautiful perspective. The golden foliage produces a beautiful contrast to the blue of the river Havel, creating the ideal backdrop for a relaxed rafting trip or boat tour on Potsdam's waterways. For example, via the Glienicke Bridge to the Italian-style Sacrow Church of the Savior, whose campanile is easily recognised from afar. Or you can let yourself be carried downstream by the Havel, from the harbour to the bay Neustädter Havelbucht with its characteristic mosque-shaped Steam Engine Building .
Volkspark Potsdam – the green heart of Bornstedt Field
The Volkspark combines nature, sport and play like no other place in the city. From herb beds to flowerbeds, water features and barbecue areas, there are many opportunities to be active: you can go skating, jogging, kite flying, disc golfing, climbing, mini golfing, rolling down ramparts or simply go for a walk.
