Event Highlights in Potsdam
Whether in a historic setting, picturesquely by the water or in the bustling city center - Potsdam's events also thrive on the venues where they take place. A time-out in Brandenburg's capital becomes something very special with a visit to the Potsdamer Schlössernacht, the Music Festival Potsdam Sanssouci or the Havel in Flames boat tour.
Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci
The motto in 2023 is about friendship: about family ties, fraternal disputes and elective affinities in music. The Music Festival Potsdam Sanssouci is a festival with music from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods in historically informed performance practice. The festival takes place annually for three weeks in June with around 80 events in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Prussian Palaces and Gardens of Potsdam & Berlin, in the historical center of Potsdam as well as in its surroundings.

Potsdamer Schlössernacht
On August 18th and 19th 2023, Sanssouci Palace and Park will be splendidly decked out for their guests at the Potsdam Palace Night. Colorful floral and "oranje" – this year's traditional event will thematically follow the annual motto of Potsdam's cultural partners "Holland in Potsdam"/Netherlands in Potsdam. The park of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is otherwise covered in deep darkness at night, will be transformed into a cultural midsummer night's dream. On two consecutive evenings, the unique Sanssouci Park will be brightly illuminated and becomes a huge stage for a colorful mix of music, acting, artistry and celebrity readers.

Havel in Flames
A fleet parade by the Potsdam shipping company awaits you on this evening: The impressive parade of ships leads from the port of Potsdam towards the Glienicker Bridge, where ships from the Berlin shipping companies join in and set common course towards Caputh. Highlight of the evening will be an impressive firework display on lake Templiner See and the name “Havel in Flames” keeps what it promises.

This includes advising guests in the Tourist Information centres and via the service hotline as well as the broad portfolio of public and private tours. The PMSG congress office provides advice on all aspects of meetings, congresses and company events in Potsdam.
