Digital city tours: Explore Potsdam via App
Whether it's an app, a digital scavenger hunt, or an audio tour – Potsdam offers a wide range of digital experiences tailored to users' interests. These experiences highlight different aspects of the city, bridging the gap between the past and the present. Interactive elements and multimedia content make for an especially entertaining experience, allowing visitors to explore Potsdam at their own pace – without a schedule, without a fixed start or end point.
Actionbound app
For those who enjoy playful exploration, the Actionbound app offers digital scavenger hunts in Sanssouci and Babelsberg Parks. Guided by the characters Flora and Pomona, users solve interactive tasks, complete physical challenges, and tackle tricky riddles while uncovering fascinating stories about former castle residents, garden designers, and architects.
The SANSSOUCI app by the Stiftung Preußische Schlösser und Gärten Berlin-Brandenburg is your digital companion in the Potsdam UNESCO World Heritage site. Experience Park Sanssouci as well as Cecilienhof Palace and the New Chambers of Sanssouci through guided tours and additional images, audio, and video content.
In the Barberini app for adults and children, three audio tours follow the Dutch, French, and Italian influences in the city. You'll also find interesting facts about the Barberini Museum as well as background information on the art exhibitions in the app.
Border Zone game app
Discover the eventful history of Babelsberg Park in Potsdam in a completely new way with the Border Zone game app. Experience the unique connection between past and present through state-of-the-art augmented reality (AR) technology. Embark on interactive missions and learn more about personal experiences in the former border area.
Potsdam City Guide app
The app offers various themed digital walks: King Frederick II, master builder Jan Bouman, and Countess Wilhelmine von Lichtenau chat about the most beautiful spots, such as the Old Market or the Dutch Quarter. An audio tour along the path "Achtung Grenze" explains the circumstances during the period of Germany's division.
